Chicken Rus Chaval - this is the epitome of Parsee comfort food. Chicken and potatoes are cooked in a flavourful tomato-based gravy, or “Rus”.
Served over steamed white rice, kachumber salad on the side, a squeeze of lemon juice and a garnish of coriander…you won’t find a dish that satisfies you more… 🤌🏽

5 🌟’s!!! Well, it’s been a long wait due to COVID but I finally received the results of the hygiene inspection I had back in October!
I was extremely nervous for this whole process, as this is extremely important to me and for my business, but the gentleman inspecting couldn’t have been nicer and with the guidance from the Gov website and a lot of preparation I was able receive all 5 🌟s!!!

The thing I adore the most about a Kachumber are it’s bright and vivid colours. Packed full of flavour, mine is made up of freshly chopped onions, tomatoes, fresh ginger, fresh tumeric, coriander and green chillies.
Seasoned with salt and a squeeze of lime juice, it makes for the most amazing salad along side any Parsee dish. 🥗

Tindora - also known as Ivy Gourd, is a lesser known vegetable in the western world. It is similar in taste to a crunchy cucumber, but with a slightly bitter aftertaste.
I like to fry mine with onions and a selection of spices. Eaten with a warm rotli, it makes for a perfect vegetable side dish. 🥒

Lamb Samosas - these crispy little parcels of deliciousness are filled with a spicy lamb keema. Served with a squeeze of lemon juice finishes them off just right 😋

As a vegetarian twist, we offer a chilli, cheese, onion and potato option. Just as delicious and mouth-wateringly tasty.

Aubergine - also known as Eggplant or Brinjal.
This bulbous, glossy, deep purple vegetable is grown all over the world, and there are many different varieties.
They all share the same mildly smoky flavour, with a texture that is spongy and absorbent when raw but soft when cooked.
I prepare mine by stuffing them with a mouth-wateringly delicious coconut, chilli and coriander chutney. 🔥

Home-made Parsee Kavabs - a spiced minced lamb, delicately rolled and fried to give a crispy coating to the juicy meat inside. A perfect accompaniment to a traditional dhansak, ask any Parsee… 😉
