Important Notice โ Temporary Closure
Due to an electrical fault with our main walk-in fridge, Wanstead Fish will be closed this weekend.
We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and aim to reopen on Tuesday, 16th June 2026.

Early start for our newest little fishmonger todayโฆ ๐โ๏ธ
Ivy, aged 7, was up at 4:30am and heading to Billingsgate Market by 5:30am with Daddy for a proper morning behind the scenes at Wanstead Fish! ๐ช
She helped:
โ๏ธ Load and unload the van full of ice
โ๏ธ Pull the ice into the shop
โ๏ธ Fill the fish display ready for the day ahead
After all that hard work, pancakes were definitely deserved for breakfast ๐ฅ๐
And the morning wasnโt over yetโฆ next stop was helping deliver fresh fish to local restaurants โ all before 7:30am!
Sheโs back to the shop to choose her dinnerโฆ
Will it be her favourites, cod or prawns? ๐๐ค
