Important Notice β Temporary Closure
Due to an electrical fault with our main walk-in fridge, Wanstead Fish will be closed this weekend.
We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and aim to reopen on Tuesday, 16th June 2026.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank all our customers for their continued support, patience, and understanding while we deal with this issue.

Early start for our newest little fishmonger todayβ¦ πβοΈ
Ivy, aged 7, was up at 4:30am and heading to Billingsgate Market by 5:30am with Daddy for a proper morning behind the scenes at Wanstead Fish! πͺ
She helped:
βοΈ Load and unload the van full of ice
βοΈ Pull the ice into the shop
βοΈ Fill the fish display ready for the day ahead
After all that hard work, pancakes were definitely deserved for breakfast π₯π
And the morning wasnβt over yetβ¦ next stop was helping deliver fresh fish to local restaurants β all before 7:30am!
Sheβs back to the shop to choose her dinnerβ¦
