But kindness and respect should always be on the menu❤️
I just wanted to share something that happened over the weekend…
It wasn’t the complaint that was hard to hear, it was the way it was delivered!
We’re a small business and we’re human beings.
People who have ever stepped a foot in the tearoom can tell that we care deeply about what we do, and I genuinely believe we put more love, thought and consideration into our customers’ experience than most people realise❣️
Thankfully, moments like this are incredibly rare.
The vast majority of our customers are unbelievably kind, supportive and an absolute pleasure to serve. You make the long days, the early mornings and all the hard work worthwhile❤️
This very personal post isn’t really about one unhappy customer. It’s about me saying thank you to all of you lovely ones❤️

Blimey… nearly fell asleep at the front of the shop🫠
People who have never worked in hospitality will never truly understand..❤️
No matter how tired, hot, stressed or rushed we are… we still smile, graft and try our best to make everyone else happy🫶
Most days me and Anita are nonstop running around, so slow moments like this together are actually really rare and im very grateful to do this with one of my favourite people☺️❤️
And to all our friends working in hospitality right now… especially in this heat… just keep going, you’ve got this💪

Happy Birthday Lee🥳
Honestly, the sweetest pair☺️
Lee mentioned to me not long ago that out of all places, he wanted to celebrate his birthday here with us… which genuinely made me blush and feel so honoured🥰
Then the lovely Karla booked them in for afternoon tea and they were both just so so kind, grateful and wonderful to serve. And I have to say… we absolutely LOVE a man that enjoys a little fuss and fabulous afternoon tea moment too👍
It honestly made me so happy seeing how much Lee enjoyed it all🥹

Honestly… I think this might be the sweetest thing we’ve ever done🤭
We are officially launching our “Little Bakers Tea Party”🥰
Yes… your little ones can now become fabulous mini bakers for the day at The Fabulous Tearoom🥹👩🍳
We are treating it as a Masterclass, the kiddies get to learn how to make our famous homemade scones, decorate their creations, graduate with their own little certificate & come home SO proud of themselves😁
We also offer vegan, gluten free & dairy free options so every little baker can join in the fun🫶
And honestly… how cute is the thought of them bringing home the very same scones people travel from far and wide for☺️
No stress for parents either❤️
Just bring the birthday cake & party bags if you wish — we’ll lovingly take care of everything else🥰
This really is such a wholesome, magical little party experience & we cannot WAIT to fill the tearoom with fabulous little bakers💖

So!! We’ve decided to close early at 2pm today because honestly… it’s just TOO beautiful outside to stay behind the counter🫠
The roads are quiet, everyone is at the beach, and for once… so am I 🥰
I managed to skive off for some sunshine and sea, and i think Anita & Nicky deserve the same treatment too❤️
We’ll also be closed tomorrow for Bank Holiday Monday, but we’ll see all your lovely faces again on Tuesday✨
