Last week our lovely work experience student Niamh brought in her card making kit and we had lots of fun creating lovely, unique Christmas cards for friends and family. If you love being creative, especially at Christmas, join us on Thursday 11th December to create some lovely Christmas decorations for your home, or to give as gifts. Cost £15 including a hot drink and festive treat!

If you’re looking for some activities to keep primary age children occupied why not come along to one of the Stay and Plays at the church this August? Toys, crafts and activities available for children up to Yr 6…and even better the café will be open with coffee and cake for the grown ups! Stay and Play is 10-11.45am but the café is open until 2pm so why not stay for lunch afterwards too?

This week at Spill the Beans…
We have a new addition to our cake selection. These Blueberry Crumble Bars are a delicious combination of lemony shortbread base, a fruity blueberry filling with a crumble topping…and they are gluten free! Perfect with one of our bean to cup coffees as a morning treat or a sweet ending to lunch.

Week 2 of the Easter Holidays…how’s everyone doing? We are open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 9.30am-2.30pm and ready with cakes, treats and lunches to cater for any ‘I’m hungry’ pleas, toys and activities for all the ‘I’m bored’ pleas and lots of coffee to help you through it all!

Today is World Kindness Day
After a weekend of reflection and remembering those who have fought and lost their lives in conflicts around the world both past and present it can seem overwhelming to know where to start with changing this broken world we live in…
…but we can all be kind…the smallest, simplest acts such as smiling at a stranger, buying someone a coffee, visiting a friend or listening to someone to find out where they are from and what they believe and why, being patient with those we disagree with….I could go on and on…all these small things will add up to a much kinder world for everyone to live in and that is something we desperately need right now.

The Carshalton Beeches Baptist Free Church is located in Carshalton, and there are several ways to get there. If you prefer public transportation, you can take the train to Carshalton Beeches Station or take BUS114 which stops at a short distance from the church. If you are driving, use the A232 and turn onto The Park, then onto Banstead Road South until you reach the church. Please note that parking is available on site for visitors.
