The table is basically a choose your favourite without realizing it situation! Everything looks good: dim sum, roast duck, all the classics…..
You tell yourself you’ll be balanced about it, but that plan never survives the first few bites. Someone locks onto the har gow. Someone else refuses to share the custard bun. And the roast duck? That one just quietly takes over the table for a moment. What’s interesting is you don’t really decide your favourite, it just keeps showing up on your plate. Again and again.
