Last week marked the end of our food service for the summer, and what a week it was. ☀️

Despite the soaring temperatures, we were thrilled to have so many of our community pop by. Thank you to everyone who booked a table, dropped in for a drink, brought friends and family, shared kind words, or simply chose to spend an evening with us. It meant the world.

While the kitchen takes a well-earned summer pause, the space begins a new season.

will be spending the summer doing what he loves with from weddings and long-table feasts to private dinners, celebrations and events. So if you’re already missing a little Klose & Soan magic (or the panisse…), we’d love to bring it to you this summer.

Meanwhile, we’re handing over the front of house to Phoebe and Becki as they welcome into the space. For the next two months, the restaurant transforms into a neighbourhood wine bar, wine shop and creative gathering space, somewhere to drop in for a beautiful bottle, a perfectly made cocktail, something delicious to snack on, DJs, conversation and a calendar full of curated pop-ups and events.

The shelves are filled with organic and natural wines from our favourite local importers Under the Bonnet Wines and Theatre of Wine alongside classic cocktails, alcohol-free drinks and a programme built around the simple idea of creating reasons to gather.

They are soft launching this week, Wednesday–Saturday.

Wednesday: Opening Night

Friday: returns with tarot readings alongside the bar.

Thursday & Saturday: Drop in for drinks, snacks and settle into the space.

Across the summer, will be welcoming an incredible community of collaborators, including bigvalrip Olympus Jones ⛰️ Dirty Apron Mike Oughton Ben Graville Intervallo Lò Việt pearofpickles Upside Down Records Daisy Henderson and many more.

Heatwave, you say? We’ve got you. 🌞

As you’d expect, we’ve seen bookings slow down and have had several cancellations this week. But with it being our final week of food service before the kitchen takes a summer pause and notches it up a gear with we’d love to share this last menu with as many of you as possible.

So, if you’re in the neighbourhood and fancy a little break from the heat, there’s plenty of room.

Pop in for a few snacks, a final cloud of Panisse, stunning Brown Crab on Toast, Burnt Fennel, Leek, Orange & Samphire, or the most perfect San Marzano Tomatoes & Flat Peach Panzanella with Basil are just a few plates to enjoy.

Perhaps a chilled glass of orange wine, a perfectly stirred Negroni, or an ice-cold grapefruit soda could tempt you further?

We’ve even enlisted a few fans and bowls of ice to keep the air moving and the room feeling as cool as possible!🤗🧊

Two weeks ago, we welcomed Daisy Henderson to our gallery walls in an explosion of colour, texture and light.

Her large-scale works have transformed the space, wrapping our front bar in glowing neons, layered surfaces and all the feelings of the bright summer ahead.

The opening night was such a beautiful one — friends, family and familiar faces gathered together to celebrate and show love for the incredibly talented and endlessly effervescent Daisy Henderson . There was wine flowing, conversations unfolding, and a real sense of joy in the room.

If you haven’t made it down to see the exhibition yet, there’s still plenty of time. COLOUR CONTEXT will remain on our walls until Saturday 11th July, carrying us through this final chapter of Klose & Soan and into the next season with

We’re stepping boldly into our summer season next week with the opening of a new exhibition, COLOUR CONTEXT, from South East London artist

Large-scale works, bold colour, layered textures and shifting surfaces will settle into our front bar just as summer begins to arrive properly.

Join us on Wednesday 4th June for the opening night. A vibe-filled evening of art, wine, conversation, and the familiar rhythms of the space as the light stretches a little longer into the night.

The bar will be flowing and the room full of new energy… we honestly can’t wait to share this one with you.

We’re having a little shift in rhythm at Klose & Soan.

As many of you know, we also have , and this summer is growing into a busy season of weddings, events and projects beyond the space. Because of that, our restaurant kitchen will pause from 27th June for the summer months.

So until the end of June, this is your last chance (for now) to experience Klose & Soan in its current form, seasonal plates coming from the kitchen, beautiful wines flowing, and the whole team doing what we’ve always loved most: feeding people well and creating space to gather.

But this isn’t the end.

Over the summer, Phoebe and Becki will take over the front of house with a new pop-up project:

The space will shift into a looser, more community-led rhythm of wine evenings, exhibitions, creative gatherings, workshops, daytime happenings, pop-up kitchens, private hire and a little late-night bar energy. All shaped around connection, collaboration and bringing people together in the ways we love most.

There’s still lots to come before then, and even more we can’t wait to share with you. A new June exhibition from launching next week, and some new bar offerings to tempt you all in on the balmy summer nights, to name a few!

For now though, we’d love to have you spend the coming weeks with us and enjoy the food that our community has come to know and love.

Book a table, drink a glass, stay a little longer than planned. We’d really love to see you before this next chapter begins!

We hope you’ve all had a beautiful bank holiday 🫶🏽

We’ll be back from Wednesday with our newest addition the and some gentle mid week bar vibes, before flowing into Thursday with our babes and back in the kitchen, kicking off with Steak Night.

Friday brings a little Friday night bistro magic alongside the wonderful and welcome energy of and her tarot deck, just in time for the full moon.

Then we round off the week on Saturday with more seasonal plates, beautiful wines, and one last chance to catch Market Days from, , before her stunning exhibition comes to a close.

We’ve also got some news to share about the coming months, if you subscribe to our newsletter, we’ve already shared a little in there. If not we’ll be letting you all know more about it on Wednesday.

Next Friday, we welcome back into the space for a very special Full Moon Tarot Evening 🌕✨

Held gently alongside our usual Friday night dinner service, Sally will be offering one-to-one tarot readings throughout the evening, a chance to step out of the rhythm of dinner for a moment of reflection, clarity, or curiosity as we move toward the Sagittarius full moon.

The dining room will move as it always does, seasonal plates, natural wines, candlelight, vibes and all the usual Friday night energy all with tarot woven softly through the evening for those who feel called to it.

It’s also Sally’s birthday week, which makes this one feel all the more special

This week we opened in the best way, gathered around the bar with and our babe for a relaxed evening exploring the wild and beautiful wines of Catalunya. Chris guided us through a stunning line-up from growers and , sharing stories of the land, the methods, the people, and the energy behind each bottle. curated a flavour packed menu that sat perfectly alongside the wines, with the asparagus, peas, Tropea onions, cashew cream & smoked paprika oil and the slow cooked pork collar, chorizo, red wine, Pink Fir potatoes & chickpeas becoming instant favourites.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and brought such a lovely atmosphere to the evening, and of course to , and for the collective energy to make it all happen. 🙏🏽🫶🏽✨

Tonight we flow straight into Thursday Steak Night with onglet steak, frites, salad & chimichurri or aubergine parmigiana & rocket salad, each served with a glass of house wine for £25. Alongside that: snacks, inspired small plates, organic wines, classic cocktails and, of course, our beloved chocolate nemesis.

We continue the Catalan adventure tomorrow with a concise bistrot-style menu before returning on Saturday night with a wider seasonal offering and wines to sit perfectly alongside them for you all to enjoy.

A very good week ahead, we think you’ll agree.
