It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Danny Harrington, a much-loved and long-standing member of St Gabriel’s Social Club.

Danny was a true gentleman and a familiar face around the club for many years. A big Arsenal fan, Danny was in for every game, and always enjoyed catching up with friends. He was a good friend to many of us and will be remembered with great fondness by everyone who knew him.

Danny was also very much part of the St Gabriel’s family, with his daughter Catherine, and two nieces Joanna and Louise having worked at the club for many years. He was always one to lend a helping hand and had a way of making everyone feel welcome. Danny could talk to anyone, he was never short of a story, a laugh or a bit of time for those around him, and that warmth is something that will be greatly missed.

Danny will be very sadly missed by his family, friends and everyone at St Gabriel’s. Our thoughts are with all of Danny’s family at this difficult time.

Danny’s funeral will take place on Monday 7th September at 12:30pm in the North Chapel at West Herts Crematorium, High Elms Lane, WD25 0JS, followed by a reception at Post Office Club, Sudbury, HA1 3QL.

It is with great sadness that we prepare to say our final farewell to our dear friend, Dublin Joe, tomorrow.

Joe was a true friend of St Gabriel's and a familiar face around the club. We were so lucky to welcome him through our doors so often, with a cold pint of Guinness usually waiting for him before he'd even made it to the bar. He always had a story to tell, and we listened with a smile. His chats, his advice for the future, and his wicked sense of humour brought so much laughter to all of us.

Joe wasn't just a customer - he was part of the St Gabriel's family, and his presence will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

We invite all who knew and loved Joe to join us tomorrow as we celebrate his life and remember the wonderful man he was.

Following the funeral, refreshments will be served at St Gabriel's, where we'll raise a glass, share stories, and honour the memories he leaves behind.

Rest easy, Joe. Thank you for the laughs, the wisdom, and the friendship. You'll always have a place in St Gabriel's, and you'll never be forgotten. Sláinte 💙🩵
