When London is in the middle of a heatwave, this is exactly the sort of plate we want on the table.
Our Alistado Crudo is built around the remarkable alistado prawn, a Spanish red prawn prized for its natural sweetness, delicate texture and striking striped shell — which is where the name alistado comes from. Served crudo, meaning raw, it is left beautifully untouched so that the quality of the ingredient can speak for itself.
Beneath it sits ajo blanco — a silky chilled sauce made from almonds, garlic, olive oil and a touch of vinegar. Smooth, cool and gently nutty, it brings a soft richness and freshness to the dish without ever overpowering the prawn.
Over the top, we shave mojama — salt-cured tuna, often described as one of Spain’s great delicacies. Deeply savoury, slightly intense and almost silky in its own right, it adds a concentrated umami note that cuts through the sweetness of the raw prawn and the creaminess of the ajo blanco beautifully.
Best enjoyed out on the terrace, with the sun still high and something cold in your glass 🥂☀️

How about some wine tasting next week? 👀🍷 On Thursday 4th June, we invite you to join us for a one-night-only Marchesi Antinori Wine Dinner — a celebration of one of the world’s most iconic wine families, whose legacy spans over six centuries.
Guiding the evening will be the Marchesi Antinori Ambassador, taking you through a curated tasting of exceptional wines, including the renowned Tignanello, with each pour introduced and explored throughout the night.
Alongside this, our new Head Chef Juan Ruiz presents a menu designed entirely around the wines. Every dish carefully considered to elevate each glass.
This will be an intimate, immersive experience — the kind of evening that rarely comes around and one best shared with those who truly appreciate great wine and thoughtful cooking.

What a night at Fire Feast with Taste of London at the stunning JOIA rooftop 🔥 Yesterday saw our Head Chef, Juan Ruiz, proudly featured amongst an exceptional line-up of chefs, cooking alongside Henrique Sá Pessoa at , Chris Golding and Carolyn Or for a fantastic evening of fire cooking, incredible food and brilliant company.
With DJs playing into the sunset, St-Germain Spritz flowing all evening, spectacular dishes cooked over the Big Green Egg barbecue, and unrivalled views across Battersea Power Station, it was a proper celebration of London’s food scene at its very best.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing such a fantastic event together — and this is only the beginning.
We’ve got plenty more coming this June as we return for the Taste of London festival. See you there 😉
