From the bottom of all our hearts, here at Hiba Express and Palestine House,Β we want to thank you all for what you brought to us last night.
The enforcement officer, her locksmith and electrician welcomed themselves to Hiba Express at 9am on Friday. They did not leave until 5am on Saturday morning. 19 hours of intimidation tactics and very bad manners.
The enforcement officer said she represented Maxen Power and when asked what her mission was - she said, to shut us down permanently. Her mission to disconnect us from the electricity supply .... that Maxen Power had disconnected us from late summer 2025. Hours of sitting, investigating Hiba Express, Palestine House and McDonald's for a power supply that does not exist.
We pointed out that we were running on a generator. In her desperation to shut us down, she decided she was going to take the generator. We pointed out that the generator was not in the warrant. She still wanted the generator.
Why?
Because it was promised to her 3000 years ago.
BUT you did not buy the narrative.
You brought us conviction.
You brought us solidarity.
You brought us strength.
You brought us love.
You brought us time.
A solution was agreed by the UK Power Network and Police and we are working on getting this done as we have invited these officials back to inspect.
But. We. WON.
From those who reached out from the support group on WhatsApp and came and sat with us from early afternoon.
Our lovely Ani who spearheaded more supporters as the situation escalated but also understood and responded immediately when we asked to stop sending people without questioning why.
And the multitude of journalists and photographers who came and documented the 19 hours and saw and heard for themselves what we are facing from from so called official bodies.
Those who stood for the long hours till 5am and watched the sun rise brilliantly as a new day began and we waved the enforcement officer and her locksmith farewell to the banging tune - Liar - Iran LEGO
We won the battle but the war is still in front of us. Our unity and strength is our weapon and they will never defeat us.
