For years, we didn’t dare put our own name on a cake. 🥐
Every great Austrian Konditorei has its signature torte — and ours was long overdue. It had to feel familiar enough to be us, and distinctive enough to earn the name. So we kept trying. And here it is.
Honestly, the Kipferl Torte is all my favourite things in one slice:
🌿 A light vanilla sponge — like the Kuchen my grandma made in strawberry season.
🍦 Pistachio — the bright green ice cream I got hopelessly addicted to on my Italian holidays.
🍫 A crunchy milk chocolate glaze with almond pieces — like a Magnum, but so much better.
Not strictly Austrian. But even more delicious. Fatima, the genius behind our bakery, and I simply used what we love most — and you can taste it.

Originating from the Italian part of my home province Tirol, here is the latest addition to our unique range of cakes:
SÜDTIROLER BUCHWEIZENTORTE - BUCKWHEAT CAKE WITH LINGONBERRIES (GF)
Buckwheat has been used for centuries as a staple ingredient in our parts of the Alps, valued for its hearty, nutty flavour and naturally gluten-free qualities.
Lingonberries, which grow wild in the local forests, have long been paired with buckwheat in Alpine baking for their gently tart, refreshing note.
Our Südtiroler Buchweizentorte is light yet satisfying, with a delicate, nutty crumb that’s beautifully balanced by two layers of bright, fruity lingonberries. The kind of cake you might enjoy in a mountain café after a long walk in the Alps – simple, honest, and quietly indulgent.
