North African monkfish, herbs 🌿 🍋
Large monk tails from Mr Deluxe himself straight off the boat at Newlyn.
We smother them in our North African marinade packed full coriander, smoked paprika, preserved lemon and fenugreek then roast it whole, on the bone, in the oven ✌🏻

We’re proud that all our Padstow crab and lobster comes from ’s day boat, the Daisy T II, out with the sunrise, home by sundown.
Day boats are smaller, more sustainable, better for the environment. So when storms roll in, they stay docked; nature’s way of keeping fish stocks in balance.
Sometimes you’ll spot Johnny popping into the restaurant in his oilskins to deliver a bucket of fresh lobsters or crab, but they don’t stay on the menu for long - once they’re gone, they’re gone!

Introducing The Highbury Rocks ❤️🍒
A cocktail special celebrating Arsenal winning the Premier League. North London pride in a glass.
A little nod to Bournemouth (aka “the cherries”) for helping get it over the line last night… and named after Arsenal’s iconic old home, served in a rocks glass.
Made with gin, Campari, Cointreau, sugar syrup + lime juice. In our Highbury restaurant we’re using distilled in N1.
Bonus fact: Highbury Rocks was the home to the legendary Wessex Studios, where London Calling was recorded by the Clash.
For Arsenal fans everywhere.

We’re taking a little pre-summer break in London to give our staff some much-deserved time off before things get crazy.
We’ll be closed from 26th May and will reopen on 16th June. Our three Padstow restaurants will remain open during this time.

Hey! For those that are new here, we thought we’d take a minute to introduce ourselves… 🦐
We’re Rick and Katie Toogood. We started Prawn on the Lawn in 2013.
What began as a tiny fishmonger's in Highbury (with just 8 seats and no hot food license!) soon became a bustling little spot for people who, like us, wanted to enjoy top-quality seafood without the frills. Katie left her job in the music industry to join full time and that’s when things took off.
As demand grew, so did we— opening in Padstow in 2015 and moving to a bigger London site (this time with an actual oven) in 2017. We’ve since opened two more sister sites - Barnaby’s () and Little Prawn (). All of this with no investors.
Our ethos has remained the same: sourcing responsibly, eating seasonally, and working with incredible local fishermen and suppliers to ensure we’re serving the freshest + best produce possible.
A few house moves, 2 dogs and 3 kids later and we’re still in love with food, hospitality and fresh seafood. However, it’s not allllll about us, it takes a whole team of amazing people both in and out of the restaurant to make POTL and Barnaby’s what they are today and for them we are always so grateful 🙏🏻

When in season, we’ve been using potatoes for our POTL crushed spiced potatoes pretty much since we opened our doors.
Grown and harvested just outside Padstow (less than a mile from the restaurant) by Ross + his dad Ron, you can’t get better than that!!
