One of the most rewarding aspects of running Nazmin’s for over 30 years has been growing alongside our customers. I’ve had the privilege of watching couples who first dined with us in the 1990s—when I was just 17—go on to build families of their own. Today, many of them return with their children and even grandchildren, continuing a tradition that spans generations.
Even those who have moved away, whether to another part of the country or abroad, often make a point of visiting us when they’re back. It’s this loyalty and connection that we value deeply. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we owe much of our success to their continued support. Together, we’ve built not just a business, but a lasting legacy.
Nazmin’s was first established in 1966 by founder Mr Chowdhury, who named the restaurant after his daughter. In 1992, Mayon—then 17—joined the business, training under Mr Chowdhury and eventually becoming his chosen successor. Under his leadership, Nazmin’s has flourished, earning multiple accolades including “Best Eatery” at the Wandsworth Business Awards and a recent shortlist for Best Independent Hospitality Business 2026.
Located on the vibrant Garratt Lane, just by Earlsfield station, Nazmin’s offers a diverse menu featuring delicious starters, mains, and sides inspired by the rich culinary traditions of India and Bangladesh. We cater to a wide range of dietary preferences, with vegetarian, vegan, and plant-based options available. We are always happy to accommodate special dietary requirements wherever possible.
