As a mark of respect to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Gate will open at 4pm on Monday 19th. Food Service will be from 4pm to 9pm and the Bar will close at 10.30pm.

We are delighted to confirm that The Gate will be reopening today. As usual No Bookings required you just come along. Again we apologise for any inconvenience our brief closure may hay caused & look forward to seeing you all again.

As a precaution & due to a number of our Part Time staff members being contacted by the NHS Tract & Trace & advised to isolate, we have made the difficult decision to close The Gate. This is to protect our Customers & Staff. We will re-open on Tuesday July 13th. We apologise for any inconvenience caused & thank you for your understanding at this difficult time. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

So here we go again, less than 2 weeks open & back into Lockdown!! 😪😪😪
Well the good news is that our Sister Pub in Stevenage THE FISHERMAN in Fishers Green remains open under Tier 2, meaning a Maximum of 6 people per table from One Household, Bubble or Business Meeting.

To reach the pub and restaurant located on Barnet Road in Barnet, you can take a train to High Barnet Station or Cockfosters Station, and then take a taxi or bus to the destination.

If you prefer driving, take the M25 motorway and exit at Junction 23. Then follow signs for Barnet until you reach the destination. There is parking available onsite as well as on-street parking nearby.
