The verdict is in... and Roots have spoken 👀🍴
It’s that time again where we get John & Jodie to taste test the autumn menu before it lands, and honestly? The kitchen team have smashed it, yet again! Winter veg toast, salted caramel pancakes, a seriously good twist on Eggs Benedict, hot honey halloumi, s’mores French toast and a house-made gluten-free banana bread that scored 20/10 (yes, you read that right).
One dish sparked a proper debate on the pass... should the sweet potato hash stay or go? Iain’s made the call already, but of course we still want to know what YOU think 👇
Keep your eyes peeled, the new menu is landing soon and it’s a good one.

To reach the restaurant located at Corbets Tey Road in Upminster, you can choose to take public transport or drive yourself.
Public Transport:
The nearest train station is Upminster Bridge Station, which is around 1.5 miles away from the restaurant. From there, you can take a taxi or bus number 347 or 248 towards Romford and get off at Hunters Hall pub/bus stop which is adjacent to the restaurant.
Driving/Parking:
If driving, take the M25 motorway and exit at Junction 29 towards Romford/A127. Continue straight onto Southend Arterial Road/A127 towards London/Romford for approximately 3 miles. Take a left turn onto Hall Lane and continue for another mile until you reach Corbets Tey Road. Take a right turn onto Corbets Tey Road and continue for half a mile until you reach the restaurant on your left.
There are parking spaces available outside of the restaurant as well.
