Chenjeh, otherwise known as King’s Favourite, is a truly special cut of lamb. It’s succulent, flavourful and tender - everything lamb should be, but with a distinct flavour that people love.

Can you believe it? It’s our 38th birthday! 🎉🎊
The other day, we were having a conversation about how long Hafez has been around. To think how many people have come through our doors is mind blowing. Two generations of our family and a wonderful team of staff are part of Hafez (chances are you’ve met some of us!) and as a small family business, the rush of day-to-day life means that we don’t often stop to appreciate how far we’ve come.
We have grown and evolved through good times and bad, and the last year or so has possibly been the hardest. But we’re still here, cooking you authentic Persian food and bringing a taste of Iran to London. We are so thankful to every single customer, old and new, who has supported us over the years since we opened in 1983. Thank you 🖤

Happy Nowruz to all of our wonderful customers!
We hope you have a wonderful year. For today and Sunday only, we have sabzi polo mahi available (herb rice and fish, a dish that’s traditionally served on New Year).
Nowruz is the Persian New Year that begins on the spring equinox. Normally the day would be full of celebration with family, but this year we’re sending our love from afar.

IT’S OUR BIRTHDAY!
37 years ago today, Hafez opened its doors for the very first time. We’d like to thank all of our wonderful customers, old and new, who have supported us over the decades. Bringing you the joy of Persian cooking and culture has been an honour and we owe everything to you. Unfortunately we can’t celebrate together this year, but we are open for takeaway collection and delivery. We appreciate your support now more than ever!

We are open!
We’re very excited to be opening our doors to dine-in customers once again. We have adapted the restaurant to ensure it is aligned with government guidelines for COVID:
- Each table is distanced, with a divider between them so our customers do not come into contact with anyone outside their bubble
- We will provide disposable cutlery to those who request it
- Our menus are now disposable and each customer will be given a brand new one on arrival
- All our staff will wear the necessary PPE
- There will be a station on arrival with hand sanitiser
- We will be taking the details of one party member to assist the government with the track and trace scheme

The Persian/Iranian restaurant located on Hereford Road in London can be easily accessed through public transport or by car. If you plan to take public transport, the nearest tube station is Bayswater (District and Circle lines) which is only a five-minute walk away. Alternatively, you could take bus numbers 23, 27, or 70 which stop on Westbourne Grove, a short walk from the restaurant.
If you are driving to the restaurant, there is limited street parking available in the area. However, there is a nearby pay-and-display car park located on Queensway where you can park your car.
Once you arrive at Hereford Road, look for the signboard of the restaurant which should be visible from the street. The restaurant is situated in a prime location with plenty of shops and other amenities nearby.
