What people say
The Fox and Pheasant is a charming country pub located on the Chelsea/Fulham border that has been lovingly restored under new ownership. Originally founded in 1846 for local canal workers, this tiny 170-year-old pub has retained its original spirit and atmosphere while offering a new destination pub and dining experience. The two original bars have been restored to their former glories, an olive tree-filled conservatory with a retractable roof has been added, and a secluded wood-panelled private dining room that sits up to 22 people has been painstakingly carved on the second floor.
Head Chef Tony Bee, who trained under Gordon Ramsay, curates the dining experience at The Fox & Pheasant. The menu champions British produce and is founded on the importance of sustainable and locally sourced ingredients. Seasonality is at the core of the menu, with a focus on pub classics, finer dishes, and light healthy servings. Some of the highlights include Sea Bream with smoked almond pesto, Monkfish cheek scampi, and gluten-free sticky toffee pudding. Bar snacks are also available for those looking for something lighter.
Overall, The Fox & Pheasant is a hidden gem tucked away in London's Chelsea neighborhood that offers a quintessentially British and charmingly vibrant country pub experience. With its distinctive character and charm, it's no wonder why drinkers and diners keep coming back to this lovely establishment.
