Since announcing our upcoming closure after the Super Bowl, we’ve had customers say they cannot believe it. The last few years have been exceptionally difficult for hospitality. Our costs have increased so much so that without a packed house every night, it is simply not sustainable. We opened the restaurant 2 months before lockdown in a new development that is still incomplete. Throw in Brexit, a war, massive inflation, crushing VAT, business rates and increasing wages and it’s surprising we survived this long. The worst part, even with all of these obstacles, if VAT was only 10% for restaurants, we would have survived. That is pretty crazy.
