Thank you for an amazing night at Momos for Nepal.

Last Sunday, Kailash Momo teamed up with Swasthya Chiya to host a charity dinner for communities affected by the August flash floods in Nepal. Together we raised over £2,600.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us, to the doctors of the Nepalese Doctors Association UK, and to the Swasthya Chiya volunteers who gave up their evening to keep the night running.

Thank you also to Mrs Rachel Lee and the Church of Christ the King, Mrs. Sobha Sharma Kandel and Dr. Numa Thebe for their generous personal donations.

Shoutout to the local businesses who donated raffle prizes: Makhamali, Mimosa Candles, Beauty at the Slade, Reishi, The Laughing Gurkha Restaurant, and Chupitos in Welling. Thanks also to the Swasthya Chiya members who personally donated prizes.

Our Chicken Thenthuk is a traditional hand-pulled noodle soup, popular in north-eastern Tibet, warming, comforting and full of flavour.

Hand-pulled noodles, tender chicken, fresh greens and a rich, warming broth all come together in one proper bowl of comfort.

With some of Nepal’s biggest festivals approaching, we wanted to bring a little more of that tradition to the table. ❤️

Our new Nanglo Set is inspired by Nepalese Newari tradition and launches in time for the celebrations of Indra Jatra and Dashain, festivals that bring people together through culture, community and, of course, food. 🇳🇵✨

Made for sharing, you’ll find Sukuti, Mutton Choiyila, Aloo Achar, Chiura and Bhatmas Sandeko, alongside two Kailash favourites: Crazy Chicken and Chilli Momo 🌶️🥟

Some dishes tell a story, and Mutton Choiyila is one of them ❤️

A much-loved dish from Nepal, Choiyila has traditionally been enjoyed at family gatherings, festivals and celebrations. At Kailash, we use roasted mutton for its rich flavour and tenderness, before marinating it with traditional Nepalese spices to create a dish that's bold, smoky and full of character.

It's one of our favourite ways to share a little taste of Nepal with our community here in Welling and Woolwich.

To get to Woolwich New Road, you can take the Southeastern train to Woolwich Arsenal station and then walk for about 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can take the DLR to Woolwich Arsenal station and then walk for about 15 minutes.
