One of our all-time favourites, and for good reason ❤️🔥
A hearty dish packed with bold, comforting flavours, perfect for warming you up and putting the worries of the day aside.
The gentle spicy of ’nduja, the homely richness of our sausage ragù and the delicious, “al dente” texture of cavatelli pasta…✨
Maybe we loved it so much it’s because our mum used to make it for us when we came home from school. To get us to finish every last bite, she’d tell us that cavatelli were like little bricks, and that if we wanted to grow big and strong, we had to eat plenty of them.
Now that we’re all grown up, we realise just how much those little bowls of pasta taste like home 🇮🇹

On Church Street, life has its own rhythm 🎶
And at Masaniello, we like to think we’re becoming part of it ❤️
There’s a lot that goes into the food we bring to your table. A ragù left to simmer until the sauce is rich and full of flavour. Italian guanciale, carefully chosen ingredients and recipes that have been passed down and made our own. Then there are the little touches, a fragrant oil, a final flourish, something unexpected that gives a familiar dish a character of its own.
Some dishes are simple, others take a little more work. But every plate comes from the same place: a love of good food and the pleasure of sharing it.
And that’s what we want Masaniello to be, too.

Simple gestures, but quick and precise ✨
Speed and technique are essential in the kitchen, but then you also need to know when to wait…
To get that wonderful crispiness, the guanciale needs to cook gently over a low heat, slowly browning on all sides until it starts to turn translucent.
If the heat is too high at this point, the fat that’s slowly rendering will start to burn too quickly.
With a little patience, you’ll gradually see the guanciale take on colour and start to crisp up 🥓
Take it off the heat before it burns too much, and… Buon appetito! ❤️🇮🇹

To get to the Italian restaurant on Church Street in Twickenham by public transport, take the train to Twickenham Station and walk down Heath Road until you reach Church Street. Alternatively, take bus routes 267, 281 or H22 to Twickenham Green and turn onto Cross Deep towards Church Street.
If you are driving, there are several parking options. The closest car park is the Riverside car park on The Embankment, which is a short walk from Church Street. Alternatively, you can try the Waitrose car park or the Holly Road car park. Please note that parking restrictions may apply at certain times of the day.
