At The Crooked Billet Harvester, we know that some of the most meaningful moments happen around the table. That’s why we’re proud to support the Chatty Café Scheme – creating warm, welcoming spaces where people can sit down, enjoy a chat and feel part of their community.
Our volunteers are at the heart of everything. They help get conversations started, share a smile, offer a warm welcome and become a familiar, friendly face that people look forward to seeing each week.
You don’t need any special experience to volunteer – just kindness, a listening ear and a little bit of time. Full training is provided by the Chatty Café Scheme, and while you’ll be making a real difference to others, many volunteers tell us they’re surprised by how much they gain themselves. It’s often one of the most rewarding things they’ve ever done.
If you know someone who could spare a few hours to help bring people together, we’d love to welcome more volunteers to our Chatty Café tables across the UK.
