We’re delighted to feature in Historic Pub Crawls by The Pub Guy, Thomas J. Vosper, who turned his birthday tradition with friends into a series of routes to help you explore more places and the pubs at the heart of them.
In Thomas’ own words “Fullers lovingly run some of the most iconic pubs that feature in my routes, and they are an essential visit for every pub lover” he continued “those early days exploring, creating the routes and sharing the videos wouldn’t have been possible without the welcoming support of the Fullers publicans and their teams”.
You can follow Thomas at to catch his videos and pick up the books at all good bookstores, online or direct via www.buythebooks.pub

We were very sad to hear of the recent passing of the legendary Terry Archer, long time manager here in the 80’s 90’s and noughties. No doubt many of you have some great stories to tell about this local legend, we would love to hear them.
We would like to express our deepest condolences to his family. He will no doubt be tending bar up there now. All the best from the Patrick, the team and all the regulars at Lamb & Flag

We are closing the pub.
Don’t worry, it’s just for the night.
As the dust settles on another festive period and the footfall slows up a bit (it doesn’t really drop off, it’s just different degrees of bonkers busy in the Covent Garden area), it’s always a good chance in January to reset, give the pub and good scrub, get the little jobs done that have been waiting since the 1st week of December and just taking a look at what the next quarter will bring, Six nations, Mother’s Day, valentines etc etc
That said before we do that some shout outs are needed…
It was a monumental period, records set and broken multiple times and just missed multiple times too, huge uplift in bookings and preorders, I honestly didn’t think we would beat last years massive Christmas but the team smashed it out of the park, many of my teammates were amongst the top money takers in the whole company, support from our bookings team at HO was fantastic and the property team stepped up with some creative ways to help us add covers in our compact dining room, food and drink suppliers were solid with the exception of a certain Stout maker but let’s not get into that debacle (they literally had one job).
Hospitality always seems to be getting a bashing from someone whether it’s government tax raids, train strikes, fuel costs, suppliers price rises, NMW hikes and much more but despite all that pressure we battle through and welcome hungry and thirsty people through the door with a warm smile because that’s the kind of people we are in this fabulous industry.
So tonight we are closing our doors for the night to take my bunch of happy go lucky misfits out for a well earned knees up. Darts, drinks and dancing will ensue…. 🍻
We will see you all again tomorrow albeit with a slight hangover. 🤕

What people say
The Lamb & Flag in Covent Garden is a pub that has stood the test of time and continues to be a favourite among locals and visitors alike. With its historic charm and welcoming atmosphere, it's no wonder why Charles Dickens himself was a regular here. The pub offers an extensive range of drinks, including refreshing gin and tonics perfect for enjoying in their sunny gardens or outdoor bars. And if you're feeling peckish, their spring menus feature expertly cooked dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. But The Lamb & Flag isn't just a great place to grab a drink or bite to eat - they also offer unique and comfortable rooms for those looking for a relaxing staycation. With each room being as unique as the pub it's located in, guests can enjoy period features, original art, stunning private terraces, and even riverside views. And if you're looking for some entertainment, don't miss out on their upcoming Opera in the Garden tour starting on June 18th. Overall, The Lamb & Flag is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for an authentic London pub experience.
