We are delighted to announce that we have entered into a tasty new partnership with fellow Kent-based business Foodari 🍓
The partnership will see Foodari supply fresh, sustainably sourced fruit and vegetables to our estate of managed pubs and hotels across London and the South East, providing local ingredients for our seasonal, freshly prepared menus while helping to reduce food miles and champion regional growers.
The collaboration brings together two independent Kent businesses that share a strong commitment to quality, sustainability and supporting local communities. We’re also both proud holders of Royal Warrants.
The new venture was officially launched this month, during peak strawberry season, at Newlands Farm in Teynham – Foodari’s principal strawberry supplier, located less than four miles from our historic brewery in Faversham.
Foodari Managing Director Jonathan Parker and Shepherd Neame’s Head of Food, Simon Howlett, marked the occasion by surveying some of the 25,000 strawberry plants waiting to be picked and packed into plastic-free, compostable containers.
They were joined by Will King, Farm Manager at the fourth generation family fruit farm.
We look forward to a long and fruitful new partnership 🎉

We’re looking for a special new operator to take on our much-loved Victorian pub in one of Faversham’s most prominent locations after an extensive refurbishment – The Railway Hotel 🍻
The hotel in Preston Street has been welcoming customers since the 1850s and has recently undergone a sympathetic refurbishment, with improvements including a refreshed centrepiece bar, new furniture, redecorated interiors and renovated flooring.
Its six guest rooms have also been redecorated and its striking entrance lobby reflects the building’s historic significance while ensuring it retains a welcoming feel.
Outside, there’s an extensive courtyard beer garden, which is often buzzing with live music, and an outside bar.
There is also a restaurant area and kitchen, capable of serving up to 70 covers, as well as private accommodation.
The Railway Hotel is currently under brewery management while we find the right licensee. They could sign up on a Partnership agreement, which is a tenancy with enhanced support.
Dan Sidders, our Head of Tenanted Business Partnerships, said: “The Railway represents a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and hands-on publican, with strong food, drink and accommodation experience and a clear vision for marketing, events and community engagement, to make their mark in Faversham.”
Get in touch with our Tenancy Recruitment Team on 01795 542132 or [email protected].

What people say
Coach & Horses, located on the corner of Old Compton Street and Charing Cross Road, is a welcoming Shepherd Neame pub that offers a warm and friendly atmosphere. The pub provides an electric atmosphere with great tunes always on the go, making it the perfect place to start your evenings or weekends in style with a singalong to classic rock and pop favourites including Queen, Abba, Michael Jackson, AC/DC and many more!
The Coach & Horses is known for its excellent selection of drinks. Their classic glass of Pimms in the sun is a must-try during summer days. They also offer Spitfire Lager on draught which represents the best in British lager: cool, refreshing and thirst-quenching. It combines the spirit of innovation with tradition and expertise to produce another modern classic.
Dating back to 1731, this grade II-listed Soho pub was known as The Coach & Horses until the 1990s when it had a fabulous revamp to become much-loved drag and queer cabaret spot Molly Moggs. After a brief spell as The Compton Cross, in 2019 it reverted back to its original name despite being only a very short stumble away from The Coach & Horses on Greek Street thus confusing legions of drinkers.
Overall, Coach & Horses is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a great night out in London. With its friendly staff, fantastic music selection and excellent drink options, it's no wonder why this pub has become so popular among locals and tourists alike.
