It's been a while since I last posted here. I just wanted to let those that don't already know, this weekend will be my last weekend behind the stove. After 19 happy years it's time to move on. If you're thinking of popping down, please call before, I think its going to be a very busy weekend. Good luck to local celebrity chef Nicoletta and Matt who are taking over.

Apologies for not posting for such a long time. I've been quite busy here. I made a fabulous fish stock into this wonderful seafood soup with king prawns, mussels, salmon and squid. I enjoyed it with baked ciabatta and aioli. I've also made turkey and leek pies to be served with seasonal vegetables, bubble & squeak & gravy. Pictures to follow. Why not try it with a glass of locally brewed beer? 8 to choose from. My current favourite is the Anspach & Hobday smoked brown ale. Malt smoked over beechwood giving toffee & dark fruits. I find it quite moreish. Would love your opinion?
