As we approach World Environment Day, we are reminded that every ingredient has a story, beginning long before it reaches the plate.
June brings asparagus at its finest.
Chargrilled and served with poached eggs from , a regenerative farm committed to caring for the land and its animals, with Parmigiano and lemon.
A simple dish shaped by the season, thoughtful sourcing and the ingredients available to us now.
At Petersham Nurseries, nature has always set the pace, inspiring a connection between the land, the people who grow our food and the dishes we share around the table.
Inspired by nature. For climate. For our future.

As Chelsea Flower Show comes to a close, a final look at the details of our Conservatory.
From first sketches on paper to the finishing touches of bud vases filled with delicate stems, every detail was thoughtfully considered in bringing this space to life.
It has been a special experience for our team, and one we are incredibly proud to have brought to life.
Inspired by our glasshouse, the Conservatory was created as a space for creativity, conversation and mindful contemplation. Bringing together climbing plants and layered foliage in a setting of timeless style, it became a place to pause, unwind and reconnect with nature.
Thank you to everyone who stepped inside and shared it with us. We are already looking ahead to next year.

Today, we remember Carlo Petrini with deep gratitude and affection, following the news of his passing yesterday. Founder of Slow Food, he was one of the great voices in the world of food and farming.
Carlo taught us that food is never simply food. It is the hands that grow, the seasons that guide, and the table that brings people together. At Petersham Nurseries, his philosophy is woven into what we hold close: our horticultural roots, our kitchen garden, the growers and producers we work with, and the Slow Food and Flower ethos that guides us.
For Gael and Francesco, who were fortunate to know Carlo personally, his passing is felt with particular affection. We thank Carlo for reminding the world to slow down, to cherish the soil, and to honour the people behind every plate.
His influence will continue to be felt in the care we bring to the table.

For generations, David Attenborough has inspired millions to look more closely at the world around us, revealing both its extraordinary beauty and its fragility.
We were deeply honoured to welcome Sir David to Petersham when he met here while filming her BBC documentary, a moment we will always remember.
His appreciation for the natural world continues to inspire so much of what we do at Petersham Nurseries, creating spaces that encourage people to slow down, reconnect with nature and appreciate its beauty.
Today, we celebrate Sir David and thank him for a lifetime spent helping us see the world with greater wonder and care.

The wisteria is now in full bloom, its soft lilac trails weaving through the pergola. It is a brief, beautiful moment that returns only once a year, and transforms the space entirely.
We welcome you to dine beneath it, whether for a sun-filled lunch or an evening as the light fades and the garden begins to glow with soft fairy lights. The spring menu reflects the season at its most generous, bringing together ingredients that speak of the land, the weather, and the time of year.
