For more than three decades, our doors have been open as an LGBTQAI+ bar, welcoming thousands of people who have created countless memories and enjoyed unforgettable nights. Friendships have formed, romances have blossomed, and celebrations have been shared within these walls.
To celebrate our anniversary, we’d love you to help us tell our story by sharing yours.
We’re looking for photos, memories, stories and videos from across the last 35 years. Whether you were a customer, worked behind the bar, performed here, or were simply part of the Halfway to Heaven family, we’d love to hear from you. Anything that captures your time at Halfway to Heaven and the moments that have stayed with you.
Our history goes back even further, and if you remember the venue when it was The Lady Hamilton or The Duncannon Restaurant, we’d love to hear from you too.

ALL NEW IT’S A KNOCKOUT 2026 IS COMING!
Yes it’s back and this year we are going BIGGER, BETTER and LONGER as we celebrate 35 years of Halfway To Heaven. We can’t wait to share with you all what we have in store, but first things first. Where are our contestants at?!
We are looking for LGBTQI+ cabaret and entertainment acts - drag, cabaret, comedy, vocals, lip-sync, dance, variety, character performance or something completely different. If you can entertain an audience and have something to bring to the stage, we want to see it!
You could follow in the footsteps of past competitors such as Marsha Mallow, Ember, Damn Jame, Flick, Saffron Slayter and Woe Addams to name but a few.

THURSDAY 2nd SEPT is ready to SPIN, SING & WIN!
We’re open from midday, then from 8.30pm the fabulous Miss Moppe takes over with her Karaoke Wheel of Wonder gameshow.
Take your chance on the wheel, grab the mic and you could be walking away with one of THREE fabulous prizes!
And no gameshow is complete without a glamorous assistant. DJ Freddy will be joining Moppe for a brilliantly bonkers night of karaoke, games and prizes.

They are raising money for CALM, (Campaign Against Living Miserably) an incredible charity whose vision is that no one feels like su***de is their only option.
It’s especially heartbreaking to know that so many young people in the LGBTQI community feel unable to be themselves and, as a result, struggle to keep going. That shouldn’t be the reality for anyone.
CALM provides vital, inclusive support through trained professionals who are there when people need them most. Their work isn’t just important, it’s lifesaving. Please do take the time to read up on the work and support from this amazing charity

Halfway to Heaven is a hidden gem in the heart of London's LGBTQ+ scene. This gay bar and pub is spread over two floors, with the traditional pub atmosphere upstairs complete with wooden floors and real ale. Downstairs is where the magic happens, with cabaret performances every evening (and Saturday and Sunday afternoons) from some of the best performers in the business.
Located just off Trafalgar Square on Duncannon Street, Halfway to Heaven offers a true local feel while still being in the heart of the city. With last entry at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, this LGBTQ+ cabaret bar is perfect for a night out with friends or a date.
