GIVE BACK FRIDAY. This Black Friday weekend we’re donating 20% of all website sales to St Peter’s Community Wellbeing Projects. This amazing community project gives women over 50 in East London’s Bangladeshi community the opportunity to overcome loneliness by coming together twice a week for yoga, a freshly cooked meal, and gardening.
Last week I was lucky enough to share a plate of delicious dal, pumpkin sabzi and rice with the women. Over lunch, I heard about the bumper crop of bitter gourd, pumpkin and spinach they’d recently harvested from the garden outside. These women are clearly very skilled horticulturists- just take a look at those ginormous veggies!
So much of what St Peter’s does aligns with our passions - the power of food to bring people together and a connection to how the food we eat is grown.
So if you’re thinking about stocking up the fridge/freezer over the festive season, head to our website (in bio) and help us contribute to this wonderful project.

Moong Dal appreciation time ❤️. It may be the lesser known and lesser tried of our dals but those in the know KNOW that Moong Dal is where it’s at. Nutty, hearty, layers of spice and lemon juice, and a perfect hit of chilli. I’ve been eating this on repeat now the weather is getting 🍂🥶💨. So if you haven’t tried it yet this is your cue to get it in your life/fridge. Hit the link in our bio to order dal straight to your door 📦➡️🚪.

What people say
Vegetarian and vegan restaurants have become increasingly popular in recent years, and SpiceBox on Hoe Street in London is a shining example of why. This restaurant offers a unique twist on traditional curry dishes, with a focus on plant-based ingredients that are both delicious and healthy.
One of the standout dishes at SpiceBox is the Cashew and Coconut Veg Korma. This fragrant and creamy dish is slightly sweet but lighter than your average korma, making it a favorite among customers. Another must-try dish is the Lime & Coconut Dhal, which adds some sunshine to any lunchtime meal.
But it's not just the main dishes that impress at SpiceBox - their side dishes are equally as tasty. The carrot thoran, for example, is a dark horse of the menu that regulars always order. Grated carrots, curry leaves, ginger, and toasted coconut all come together with a generous squeeze of lime to create the perfect side dish for any curry night feast.
What's more, SpiceBox makes it easy to enjoy their delicious food from the comfort of your own home. Their ready meals can be picked up from various locations or ordered online for delivery in East London.
Overall, SpiceBox offers an exceptional dining experience for vegetarians and vegans alike. With flavorful dishes made from fresh ingredients and convenient options for takeout or delivery, this restaurant is definitely worth checking out.
