❤️ SOMETIMES IT’S ABOUT MORE THAN FOOD…
One of the loveliest things about running The Ginger Italian is that over the years, so many of our customers stop feeling like customers and start feeling like part of our little restaurant family.
So when one of our regulars, Daljeet, asked if we would share what she is about to do, we were more than happy to help. ❤️
This October, Daljeet will be taking on an incredible 100km trek along the Camino de Santiago to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
She’s doing it in memory of her mum, who sadly passed away from ovarian cancer in 2020 at just 59 years old.
Daljeet speaks beautifully about how the treatment and research available gave her mum precious extra years with her family — including the opportunity to meet her first grandchild. Now she wants to give something back and help other families have more of that precious time together.
Cancer touches so many families, including many within our own Ginger Italian community.
So today, we’re simply asking you to take a moment to read Daljeet’s story.
If you’re in a position to donate, even a few pounds will help. And if you can’t, a share and a few words of encouragement would mean just as much.

To get to the Italian restaurant located on Green Wrythe Lane in Carshalton, you can take public transport by taking either the 151, 154 or 157 bus and getting off at the Green Wrythe Lane stop. Alternatively, you can take the train to Carshalton Station and transfer to the bus from there.
If you prefer to drive, you can use the A232 road and turn onto Green Wrythe Lane. There is limited street parking available nearby, but there is also a paid car park located within a short walking distance from the restaurant.
