For fifteen years, Kilikya’s Gastro Pub has been more than a venue. It has become a home for conversations, friendships, celebrations and meaningful connections that have crossed generations, cultures and borders.

At the centre of this story stands Dr. Ali Eren Balıkel, whose vision was never simply to create a place, but to create a sense of belonging. A place where strangers became friends, friendships became traditions, and traditions became part of a lasting legacy.

This documentary is a reflection on roots.

The roots that shape who we are.
The values we carry from those before us.
The relationships we nurture throughout our lives.
And the legacy we leave behind through the people whose lives we touch.

Every family member, friend, colleague, artist, academic, supporter and guest has left a mark on this journey. Their voices, memories and presence have helped shape the story of Kilikya’s over the past fifteen years.

This film is both a celebration of what has been built and a tribute to those who made it possible.
