I want to apologise for the first part of my statement.
I’ve made mistakes, and I’m so, so sorry.
I’ve never wanted to be an activist baker, but over the last 24 hours I have found myself in the middle of an important and passionate argument about one of the most complex flavour issues on the planet.
I have always wanted my cakes to be about unity, not division; about humanity, not flavour politics.
But I cannot hide how I feel about this anymore.
