Shame isn’t a bad thing. Its purpose is to deter you from doing $hitty things like asking for free cake in exchange for expo$ure. Its purpose is also to deter you from pandering to these “opportunities” as a business owner. I think at this point I’m probably just as fed up with cake makers making freebie cakes for grifters as I am with grifters.
I am also very hot and irritable 🥵

This mistake isn’t a rookie mistake. Even big influencers with 1.4 million followers are guilty of this when asking small businesses to collaborate. Don’t do this. Be smarter and you just MIGHT score a freebie 🎂
Signed, all small business owners xoxo

There’s been a LOT of discourse online regarding badly behaved influencers and celebrities with small businesses. But we need to talk about small businesses being cringe too.
Let me know in comments what is the biggest Small Biz ick? For me, it’s seeing small businesses commenting on xyz sleb’s SpOnSoReD post being amongst 20 other businesses tagged going, “Thank you for letting us be part of your special day!! Xoxo” 🤮 please stopppppp
