As Día de los Mu***os approaches, we’re honoured to continue this beautiful Mexican tradition by creating our Ofrendas at London Bridge and Shoreditch 🇲🇽🕯️
An Ofrenda is an altar decorated with marigolds, colourful skulls, candles and offerings, including food and drinks that hold special meaning for our loved ones. It’s a way to remember those who are no longer with us and celebrate the memories that keep them close.
We’d love for you to be part of ours. If you’d like to honour a loved one, send a photo to [email protected] and we’ll include it on our Ofrenda so we can celebrate their memory together 🧡✨

If you’re looking for somewhere to get everyone together, we have a couple of very different spaces across London Bridge and Shoreditch.
London Bridge 🇲🇽
Our Asador has a selection of spaces for private dining, including the Cantina, Agave Room and Dining Room, as well as the option to take over the whole venue. The top floor even has its own private bar, music and projector, making it a great option for bigger Christmas parties and work events.
Shoreditch 🌮
Want something a little more intimate? You can have the whole Taquería to yourselves, with the open kitchen and bar at the heart of the experience. It seats up to 34 guests, or you can have up to 45 people for a standing reception.
Both come with the same thing at heart: a very Mexican way of bringing people together.

A lot goes into the food you love, and today we’re celebrating the people behind it! 🇲🇽👨🍳
There’s a lot of hard work, skill and care that goes into every dish we serve. A big shoutout to Jimmy, Adam, Maria, Saida, Borja and the rest of our chefs who put in the work every day across our London Bridge and Shoreditch kitchens.
We’re also lucky to have had the opportunity to host some incredibly talented Mexican guest chefs at Santo Remedio since we opened our doors. A special shoutout to Aquiles Chávez , Jose Manuel Baños Rodriguez , Roberto Solis , Cesar Pita and Diego . It’s a pleasure to know them and learn from chefs who share their passion for Mexican cooking beyond borders.

In the Mexican kitchen, we make the most of our ingredients.
Tomato skins can be chopped into guacamole, while the cores and seeds can be used in soups and salsas. We grill pineapple, use it in pico de gallo, and turn the skins into homemade tepache. Even coriander stems have a place in the kitchen, adding flavour to salsa verde.
It’s about using what we have and wasting less 🍅

For International Chefs Day, our founder Edson is opening up the kitchen at London Bridge on the 22nd October for a private cooking class inspired by his cookbook, recipes & stories from the heart of Mexico City.
He’ll be sharing his tips for welcoming guests the Mexican way (Including making a great margarita of course), preparing guacamole and making his barbacoa rub by toasting chillies and spices! 🌶️

We would like to thank everyone who has joined us at Santo Remedio Marylebone over the past two years. It has been a pleasure to welcome you, share tacos, margaritas and special occasions with you all. Unfortunately we have had to make the very hard decision to close our Marylebone restaurant. We look forward to continuing to welcome you at our London Bridge and Shoreditch restaurants.
For those of you who have bookings for our Marylebone restaurant you should have received an email by now where we have shared options so that we can accommodate you at one of our other locations.

We’re using to showcase one of our veggie favourites, the Roasted Butternut Squash Taco 🌱
The squash brings the sweetness, the smoky Morita mayonnaise adds a smoky depth and the pickled onion gives a lil’ zing to cut through it all, served on a corn tortilla.

🌮 Taco Day is coming... 🌮
We'd be the first to say that every day is taco day but if you need to convince your partner, friends or family to meet for tacos, national taco day has to be the perfect excuse.
Now, the date of taco day is contested.
Purists will say it's the 4th October, while mavericks will say the first Tuesday in October to coincide with Taco Tuesdays, so 6th October.
We say - Let it be both!
Whether you come on Sunday, Tuesday or any day for that matter, we'd love to celebrate National Taco Day with you.

What a weekend!🇲🇽
It was a pleasure celebrating 20 years of Bermondsey Street Festival and being part of such a brilliant community, right on our doorstep. It was lovely to catch up with those who already know and love Santo Remedio, and just as lovely to meet those trying our Mexican dishes and margaritas for the first time.
We’re so happy to be part of the neighbourhood and can’t wait to do it all again next year. Until then, come and visit us just a stones throw away at Santo Remedio on Tooley Street.

We're at Bermondsey Street Festival! 🌮😍
Come find us at Tanner Street Park, serving up guacamole and totopos, chicken pibil tacos and vegetable tostadas, to go perfectly with the margaritas (classic and spicy) and hibiscus aqua fresca we're pouring.

Happy National Guacamole Day!🥑
We asked Edson to settle the great guacamole debate.
Serrano and jalapeño peppers? Absolutely. Sour cream? Not a chance. And if you’re making guac at home, his top tip is to salt your tomatoes first to remove the excess juices before they go in.

Happy Mexican Independence Day! 🇲🇽
Today, we’re celebrating with Chile en Nogada, a traditional dish from Puebla that has become closely associated with Mexican Independence Day. Edson takes us along as he shops for the ingredients that go into our version, made with pork belly, beef cheeks, seasonal fruit, nuts and a creamy walnut sauce, finished with pomegranate seeds.
