Owners Edson & Natalie started their journey in 2013, running pop ups and supper clubs to bring the flavours of Mexico they love and grew up with to Londoners. They source speciality ingredients like Pasilla, Serranos and grasshoppers from Mexico to complement their menu's true taste of Mexico. Long before it was a dressing, Yerba Santa was medicine. The Aztecs used this same herb for centuries, and Oaxacan cooks have built entire moles around it since.

We use it a little differently at Santo Remedio – tossed through charred carrots and courgettes with a touch of Habanero, with a base of smashed avocado on a crisp corn tostada. Old herb, new dish - Grilled Vegetables Tostada.

Chef Edson brought it over from the markets of Mexico City and it hasn’t left the menu since.

Tequila gets all the attention. Mezcal does all the work.
Smokier, more complex, made from Agave plants that have been growing for years before a single drop is distilled – Mezcal is the spirit that rewards people who slow down long enough to actually taste it.
