Celebrating Mexican Independence Day with Chile en Nogada🇲🇽
A traditional dish from Puebla in central Mexico, Chile en Nogada is closely associated with Mexican Independence Day celebrations. Our version brings together pork belly, beef cheeks, grilled apples, pears and peaches, with pine nuts, almonds and dried fruit, all covered in a creamy walnut sauce and finished with pomegranate seeds.
We’ve been serving this iconic dish as part of our anniversary celebrations each year, bringing a taste of this Mexican tradition to London.
Available from the 15th–18th September across all Santo Remedio locations. Book ahead through our website or by calling your local Santo Remedio restaurant.

Mexican Eggs Benedict, finished with jalapeño hollandaise.
Smoked streaky bacon, St Ewe poached eggs and a toasted muffin, with that rich, gently spicy hollandaise poured over the top.

Another great year at Meatopia🔥
Another year at Meatopia, and another reminder of why we love being part of this festival. We have lost track of how many Meatopia’s we have done but somehow it keeps getting better and better!
A huge thank you to everyone who came by, tried our Grilled Chicken Tamarind Torta ( and specially those who came back for a second one or a 3rd! ) And to all the chefs we had the pleasure of cooking alongside, thank you for the food, the laughs and the good company.
Until next year🇲🇽

Celebrating Mexican Independence Day with Chile en Nogada🇲🇽
One of the most traditional dishes in Mexican cooking, Chile en Nogada is a seasonal favourite enjoyed across Mexico during Independence season. A roasted poblano chile filled with pork, fish or vegetables, covered in creamy walnut nogada and finished with pomegranate and fresh herbs.
It’s a true seasonal dish, made with ingredients that only come together at this time of year. Rich, savoury and gently sweet, it’s best enjoyed with a glass of Mexican wine.
Available from the 14th to the 20th September. Book ahead through our website or by calling your local Santo Remedio restaurant.
