We loved hosting a wedding lunch yesterday, a Friday-just perfect.
The dining room was looking super pretty with amazing vibes, food, wine, flowers and even speeches finished with a toast, and shots of Fernet Branca!
Some of the faces on guests when that shot was taken by guests 🤣.
We, the Canton Team are very proud to be chosen to host events like this, for our lovely and valued, long term regulars.

Last week, lucky enough to be flown out to Porto to visit the Douro and Dão regions.
We had the opportunity to visit the vineyards, wineries and Port house of the family, who have been producing Port, and then still wines, organically and often biodynamically since 1842!!!
6 Generations who’ve had a passion for wine and respect for tradition.
Such an incredibly beautiful part of the world and a truly informative trip.
Many thanks to for the invite.

Another plaque for the wall!
This year we headed to the as a full management team, and we were absolutely over the moon to be placed 11th!
This high placing is down to the hard work of our wonderful team, who give it their all, day in, day out, through every challenge this industry throws our way.
We couldn’t be prouder of them.
They are unbelievable and they’re what make The Canton the special pub it is, one we’re so proud of.
Also congratulations to everyone in the Top 100 and it so nice to catch up with some many familiar faces for the other pubs.
The celebrations carried on late into the back room at The Devonshire, with far too many pints of Guinness involved.
The head hurts still but you know what? It was all worth it.
A huge thanks the winners and to for throwing such a good after party with late night food and live music.

What people say
Canton Arms, located on South Lambeth Road, is a must-visit gastropub in Stockwell. The pub offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The food is simply amazing, with dishes like the Sea-bream Crudo with elderflower vinaigrette, grapes and almonds, and the House-made ‘Sai Oua’ mutton sausages with Thai cucumber and chilli being some of the highlights. The bar staff are knowledgeable about their drinks and can whip up a mean cocktail like the Fresh Raspberry Fizz enjoyed by Trudy. The pub also has its own merchandise with Canton T-shirts available in two colours and various sizes. If you're looking for a great night out or just a place to relax after work, Canton Arms is definitely worth checking out.
