Spaghetti House Spaghetti House, located on Duke Street, was an Italian restaurant and pizza place that specialized in lunch and dinner. Their menu featured items such as Spaghetti All'aragosta with lobster and San Marzano and cherry tomatoes sauce, as well as a spring special of Pizza Asparagi. The restaurant also sold their infamous salad dressing and chili oil. With terraces open for patrons to enjoy an Aperol and bites like dough ball fritters in the sun, it was a great spot for a quick lunch or an Easter dinner set menu. Unfortunately, this restaurant has been permanently closed.

Have you seen our little bits of history dotted around the restaurant?

1. Goodge Street - the original and iconic spaghetti house opened in 1955 by Simone Lavarini & Lorenzo Fraquelli.

2 & 3 - newspaper clippings from the Spaghetti House siege that occurred in our restaurant in Knightsbridge 1975. The siege happened for 5 days involving 3 armed robbers and 9 of our managers were held hostage. The robbers attempted to steal £11,000 which comes to approximately £88,000 nowadays.

We’re back! And we’ve missed you. 🫶🏻

After a challenging chapter, we’re delighted to share that Spaghetti House is returning with our Bryanston street restaurant in Marble Arch.

Over the past few months, we’ve been busy creating a new chapter for Spaghetti a house. Recreating the interiors, refining the menu, and bringing new energy to a place that’s been part of London’s dining scene for generations.

While a few things have changed, you’ll recognise some familiar faces. Some of our wonderful team are back and ready to welcome you through our doors once again.

To everyone who had supported us over the years, thank you, your loyalty, encouragements and kind messages have meant the world to us.

70 Years of Spaghetti House 💛

Today, we celebrate more than just a number. We celebrate a legacy. One that began on this day in 1955, when our grandfather, Simone Lavarini opened the doors of Spaghetti House on Goodge Street with a simple mission: to welcome people in, feed them well, and make them feel at home.

His love of hosting wasn’t just about great food, it was about people. Community. Creating a place where everyone felt seen, cared for, and part of something bigger. That love of giving back lives on in every corner of Spaghetti House today, through the third generation of Lavarinis and through you.

Over the decades, we’ve seen drama, success, and setbacks. We’ve watched history unfold through our windows and around our tables. And through it all, you have been with us. Our guests, our teams, our extended family. You’ve celebrated birthdays, toasted anniversaries, and gathered after long days. You’ve brought your stories, your laughter, your lives.

We are here because of you.

So from all of us - the Lavarini family and the Spaghetti House team, thank you. Thank you for growing with us, believing in us, and making us part of your lives for the last 70 years. We are honoured, proud, and beyond grateful.

As a small gesture of thanks, every day this month, one lucky guest in our restaurants will receive their bill for just 70p. It’s a little way of saying a big thank you. From our family to yours.

Here’s to 70 years of memories made and many more to come. 💛

To get to Duke Street, you can take the London Underground and get off at Bond Street Station which serves the Central and Jubilee Lines. Then walk north on Oxford Street towards Selfridges until you reach Duke Street on your left. Alternatively, if you are driving, you can park at the Q-Park Oxford Street car park which is located just a short walk away from Duke Street.
