People often ask me why I called it Sud Italia.
The answer is simple.
Because I didn’t just want to sell pizza.
I wanted to bring a piece of home to London.
The flavours, the traditions, the warmth, the street food culture I grew up with in Southern Italy.
Every pizza, every van, every market, every store has always been about sharing that feeling.
Sud Italia isn’t just a name.
It’s where I come from.
It’s who I am.

In 11 anni di attività c’è stato solo un momento in cui ho pensato, anche solo per un istante, di mollare tutto. Non l’ho fatto.
Circa 10 anni fa mi trovavo davanti a un bivio: tornare in Italia e ricominciare da zero, oppure restare a Londra, giocarmi tutti i risparmi che avevo e ripartire ancora una volta con Sud Italia.
In entrambi i casi avrei dovuto ricominciare da zero. Ma sono sempre stato un sognatore.
Quel pensiero mi ha soltanto sfiorato la mente. Ho deciso di restare, di rialzarmi e di investire tutto quello che avevo per dare un’altra possibilità al mio sogno.
Sono tornato a fare pizze ogni giorno. E non lo nego: era, ed è ancora oggi, la parte più bella di questo lavoro.
Oggi il settore dell’ospitalità nel Regno Unito non sta vivendo un momento facile. La crisi si sente e la sentiamo tutti. Ristoranti, bar, street food e piccoli imprenditori: nessuno ne è immune.
Fortunatamente Sud Italia continua a crescere e a guardare avanti, ma sarebbe ipocrita dire che il clima che si respira nel settore non faccia riflettere anche noi.
Quel pensiero che ebbi anni fa oggi è soltanto un ricordo. Un ricordo che ogni tanto riesce ancora a intimorirmi, perché conosco bene cosa significhi trovarsi in difficoltà. Ma conosco ancora meglio cosa significhi rialzarsi.
Per questo oggi posso dire con certezza una cosa: non mollerò.
Non l’ho fatto allora e non lo farò adesso.
E auguro a tutti i miei colleghi, imprenditori e lavoratori che stanno affrontando questo periodo difficile, di trovare la forza di fare lo stesso.
Io non mi arrendo. Non l’ho mai fatto nella mia vita. E non inizierò oggi. ❤️🍕

Public Transport:
- Take the underground train (Tube) to the nearest station, which is Park Street Station (Jubilee Line).
- From Park Street Station, exit towards "Regent's Park" and head north on Park Road.
- Turn left onto Rossmore Road, then right onto Loudoun Road.
- Brusfield Street will be on your left.
Driving/Parking:
- If driving, take the M1 motorway and exit at Junction 1 for A406 North Circular Road.
- Continue on the A406 until you reach the A41 Finchley Road. Turn left onto Finchley road and continue straight.
- Turn right onto Boundary Road and then left onto Abbey Road.
- At the end of Abbey Road turn right onto Belsize Road and follow it all the way down until you reach Brusfield Street on your left.
- There is limited street parking available near Brusfield Street. Alternatively, there is a paid car park nearby called "Q-Park Regents Park".
