It’s back, tomorrow.
With the bank holiday weather set to hit 30 degrees, we thought we’d shake things up a bit - Rotisserie chicken, ice cream sandwiches and cold pints in the sun.
Sunday 24th, midday until 5pm. Followed by the evening quiz with Oli from 7pm, and open an hour later into the night. 🪁
Happy bank hols!

A few plates from last Saturday night down at ours. We’ve spoken a bit recently about using the whole animal properly in the kitchen, so this felt like a good chance to try some of the dishes that encompasses that.
Pork vindaloo pie
Pork chop w. cabbage, bacon & mustard sauce
Pork pie w. piccalilli
House scratchings w. brown sauce
All from the Oxford Sandy & Black pig, butchered and cooked in-house.
Swipe for tonight’s evening menu.

10 years on, The Prince signage has had a freshen up.
A real pleasure having .signs working on the design and hand-painting the fascia this week.
Rooted in the original, but sharpened up just enough. Safe to say the place has never looked better.

You talk to anyone here at the pub, staff, locals, the lot… and they’ll all say the same thing.
“Kitty is the best”
This Sunday will be Kitty’s last service at The Prince, and it is safe to say her impact on our community has been nothing short of exceptional. Over the years she’s become a huge part of the rhythm of the pub, and the place genuinely won’t feel the same without her here.
We’re going to miss her massively, but we’re also very excited for what comes next for her! If you’re around come by tomo and help us give her a proper send-off.
Until we meet again!

We’ve always had a soft spot for things made close to home.
Our trip to recently ended with us bringing back one of their Oxford Sandy & Black pigs, raised over in Enfield just a few miles from the pub.
has been butchering the whole animal in-house and making use of every part properly. This pork collar’s already found its way onto the menu, glazed with beer and honey, oven roasted and served up with our house piccalilli.

A couple of weeks back we turned 10 and had the chance to raise a glass with a lot of the people who’ve shaped The Prince along the way.
To the breweries who’ve backed us from the start, the staff who’ve helped build the place into what it is and the familiar faces who’ve made this pub their local - thank you.
We’re hugely grateful. Lots more to come!

March has arrived and tonight’s quiz feels like a bit of a big one.
After more than a few competitive tie-breakers, this will be Millie’s last Sunday at The Prince as she moves on to her next adventure.
If you’ve been to quiz in the last couple of years, you’ll know what she’s brought to the room. She’s been a huge part of the rhythm of The Prince and over the years, and we can’t thank her enough for what she’s given this place.
She’ll be here tonight for one last hurrah, so if you fancy finishing the week (and starting the month) properly, come down and give her a proper send-off!
Tonights Quiz at 7pm
