Last week we said goodbye to Glenn. Am I devastated? Absolutely. For the last two years Glenn has been one of those people who’s just made The Prince a better place. Kind, ridiculously reliable and quite frankly as funny as they come. He’ll be off across the pond shortly, and we wish him the very best of luck for whatever comes next.

All the best Glenny, we’re going to miss you!

WE’RE LOOKING FOR CHEFS TO JOIN THE TEAM

We’re looking for a driven, ambitious chef to join our tight-knit kitchen team here at The Prince.

We’re a busy independent neighbourhood pub in Wood Green with a strong local following and a growing dining room. We care about good food, good produce and good b**r to go alongside it all.

We’re looking for someone who:

- Takes pride in cooking good food with good produce - Has ambition and wants to keep learning and developing - Is confident working as part of a small team and wants to make it better - Wants to work with quality produce and make the most of it - Is interested in whole-animal butchery and learning how to work with a carcass properly - Likes the idea of being part of an independent pub where the kitchen has a genuine say in what we do

We work closely with a number of good local suppliers, including Forty Hall Farm in Enfield, and put a lot of thought into where our produce comes from and how we use it.

There’s plenty of opportunity here for someone who wants to get stuck in and help shape the kitchen as it continues to develop. We’re looking for someone who wants to be involved, contribute ideas and make the place better.

For this Saturday only, Haringey Borough season ticket holders can get 50% off pints at The Prince, from midday until 2:30pm. Just show your season ticket at the bar.

To get to Finsbury Road in London, you can take the Piccadilly line on the London Underground and get off at Turnpike Lane station. Alternatively, you can take the overground train to Harringay Green Lanes station. From there, it is a short walk to Finsbury Road.
