What people say
The Ship Tavern, located on Gate Street in London, is a historic pub and dining room that has been serving customers since 1549. This traditional ale house is famous for its quaffable ales, fine fayre, and illustrious past. The warm welcome and good honest pint with quality home-cooked food make it one of Holborn's best-kept secrets. The menu features a range of delicious dishes, including the Coronation chicken sandwich with homemade tarragon bun washed down with Coronation IPA. The Ship Tavern also offers exceptional real ales, including their very own limited edition buttermilk coronation chicken burger and King Charles cocktail. They even showed the coronation live from 11 am till late and offered their very own Coronation Real Ale IPA during the event. Despite the recent strike action that forced them to close their kitchen on Fridays, this pub remains a must-visit destination for anyone looking for an authentic British pub experience steeped in history.
