Today we mark the 81st anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day, the end of the Second World War in Europe.
We honour the service and sacrifice of the Second World War generation across the UK and the Commonwealth, and the civilians whose lives were changed by conflict.
We also remember that while victory was declared in Europe, the conflict continued in other parts of the world in 1945.
On this day, we recommit to the values of peace, partnership and resilience.

The pub and restaurant can be easily reached by public transport. The nearest tube station is Victoria, which is served by the Victoria, Circle and District lines. From there, head south along Buckingham Palace Road, turn left onto Eccleston Street and then right onto Lower Belgrave Street.
If driving, there are on-street parking options available although they may be limited. Alternatively, there are several car parks nearby including Q-Park Pimlico and NCP London Victoria. When approaching from Westminster or Knightsbridge on the A3216 bear left at the traffic lights towards Eaton Square onto Lower Belgrave Street.
