Today’s post is a little different. In support of our dear friend Jacquie, someone who has sacrificed their time and effort to help keep the pub together, having beaten breast cancer twice, and knows the fight firsthand.
Jacquie, along with The Annie committee, is hosting a Breast Cancer Now Afternoon Tea on September 11th at The Antwerp Arms.
Join us from 3 PM for an afternoon of delicious treats, knowing every donation directly fuels vital research. This isn’t just an event; it’s a chance to honor those we’ve lost, celebrate survivors, and fund a future where no one has to face this disease alone.
Want to know more about Jacquie’s inspiring journey or can’t make it but still want to contribute? You can read her full story and donate directly to Breast Cancer Now. Your support, whether in person or through an online donation, makes all the difference. All proceeds go directly to Breast Cancer Now. Let’s show cancer who’s boss!

Our friends of Bruce Castle park are hosting a super fun afternoon in the park tomorrow from 4pm!
Peter Rabbit and his pals are hopping into Mr. McGregor’s garden for a FREE open-air theatre show. It’s going to be a blast for the whole family, and it’s just around the corner!
After the show, swing by! We’ve got proper pints, delicious food by THE ROAST SPOT , and all the facilities you need (including baby-changing!). Come a long for the show, stay for the sunshine, good food, and a refreshing drink or a slushy for the kids !

Can we just throw it back to last Sunday?! Our annual Caribbean Day was an absolute hit! and the turnout was amazing. We’re grateful to our community for showing up for us! A massive shoutout to all our fantastic stall vendors, Rahmel for bringing the vibes with his steel pans, DJ Robbie, and Ms. Winey. And of course THE ROAST SPOT for providing delicious food. The dominoes competition was on fire, and that limbo battle? Unforgettable! Thanks a million to our incredible community for showing up and making it an event to remember! Til next year 🍻

A decade of deliciousness and community spirit! ✨ We’ve recently celebrated 10 years of providing tasty nutritional lunches to our wonderful community, and it wouldn’t have been possible without our incredible volunteers and the generosity of The Felix Project, Fairfax Meadow , Accenture and everyone who has provided.
