Ichiban Sushi Brixton was a pioneering sushi restaurant that opened its doors in 1999 on Atlantic Road. The establishment is famous for serving freshly prepared, authentic Japanese dishes, including the signature homemade Teriyaki Sauce. While dinner was the specialty at Ichiban Sushi, it also offered a smaller takeaway menu during certain periods. Unfortunately, this iconic sushi bar has permanently closed its doors.

Sushi restaurants are known for their fresh and delicious Japanese cuisine, and Ichiban Sushi Brixton is no exception. As the first sushi bar in Brixton since 1999, they have been serving up real Japanese food that you won't find anywhere else. One of their standout dishes is the Tuna Bites, which features chopped tuna on sweet potato tempura dressed with salsa verde, avocado, and a dash of mayo. It's no wonder customers are asking for it to be brought back!
But that's not all Ichiban Sushi has to offer. Their menu includes classic dishes like Katsu Don, Katsu Curry, Salmon Teriyaki, and various sushi rolls. They even have homemade teriyaki sauce that adds a unique touch to their dishes. And if you're looking for something special, they often have weekend specials like their homemade Maguro Korokke (Tuna Croquettes) or refreshing Harusame Salad.
Even during difficult times like the pandemic, Ichiban Sushi has remained open for takeout with a smaller menu. They truly care about their customers and making sure they can still enjoy their delicious food safely. So whether you're stopping by for a quick bite or ordering takeout for dinner at home, Ichiban Sushi Brixton is definitely worth a visit.
