Our 8th birthday is on the 18th, and we’d like you to propose a toastie!🥂
Whether you’ve got a tried and tested toastie recipe that you want to share with the world, you’re a Michelin starred chef specialising in toasties or there’s just something you’ve always wanted to cover in cheese and put between two slices of bread, we want to hear from you 🫵
Fill in the form (link in bio) with the recipe for your dream toastie (up to 3 ingredients) and we will serve up our favourite in the pub, for one day only, on Sunday 19th April!
Rules:
- 3 ingredients or less.
- We don’t have a kitchen, so keep ingredients simple please (think things we can buy ready-to-use on the high street!)
- The winner doesn’t get to cook any toasties at the pub - providing the many years of study required at our remote mountain toastie dojo would be impractical
- The judges ruling is final👩⚖️
- Don’t comment or DM entries, I can’t be bothered to keep track of them all. Enter using the link in bio please

Hi everyone, a quick announcement:
After a period of reflection and careful consideration, we would like to announce that The Rusty Bucket will now be an under-18s pub and child-only from now on. (On rare occasions, well behaved adults will be allowed to visit the pub until 4pm)
We hope this will create an atmosphere that all children can enjoy, without unsupervised adults wreaking havoc in what can be a tight space when we’re busy. Also, adults insist on drinking beer, which means that we have to keep cleaning lines and moving kegs around😮💨
Thank you for all your support as always.
(P.s. Keep an eye out for details of our upcoming fruit juice tasting!)
