I lost my best friend in January and not only was she the biggest rockstar in my life but she was the front vocalist of her all female all punk af band, i wanted them to perform at the pub but here we are. Her band mates and best friends are putting on a tribute gig in her honor whilst fundraising for grass root music venues. Turning our nun into one that serves some of the best pizza in London has been a crazy ride. All the love to for kicking things off and giving us the wildest year to date.
The baton has now officially passed to and what a week for them so glad yous are thinking pizzas are as sexy as we think! Cannot wait for this nun to serve pizza (and fit roasts on Sundays) for the rest of her life.

You may of seen her busy behind the bar at the old nun or even sitting on cake (.sit) upstairs at the old nun. But if you were at the old nun last night you would of seen her ringing in the Kurdish new year whilst fundraising for her home.
Newroz marks the beginning of a new life cycle as spring arrives not just a seasonal marker but one that defines Kurdish identity and resilience. A message of freedom. A message that resonates with the nuns.

To get to Nunhead Green in London via public transport, take the Overground and alight at Nunhead Station. From the station, walk towards Brockley Road and turn left onto Evelina Road. Follow the road until you reach a roundabout and cross over to go straight down Cheltenham Road. Continue on Cheltenham Road until you reach the green.
For those driving, take A205 South Circular Road and turn onto Peckham Rye/A202. Turn left onto Nunhead Lane/A2214 and continue straight until you reach Nunhead Green where street parking may be available.
