Father’s Day at The Royal Oak 🍻
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, stepdads, grandads, father figures — and to anyone raising a glass to someone they miss today.

A packed day of sport at The Royal Oak — and we’ll be showing it all!
We kick things off with the cricket, where England have it all to do against a rampant New Zealand.
We’ll also be showing all the races from the final day of the Ascot Festival, so settle in for a proper afternoon of sport.
And with the sun set to shine, our beer garden awaits — the perfect spot to top up your tan over a cool beer.
Then it’s back to the World Cup action:

WORLD CUP AT THE ROYAL OAK
Just a quick note for England World Cup games.
You do not need a ticket — entry will be first come, first served.
Once we reach capacity, we’ll have to close the doors. This is to keep everyone safe, comfortable and in line with our licence.
During England matches, we’ll also be operating a minimum spend of £10 per person for customers staying to watch the game.
We’ll have great match-day offers on selected bottled beers and wine, so get in early, grab your spot and enjoy the football properly.
No outside drinks, please.

Tonight at 8pm we’ll be showing Canada v Bosnia & Herzegovina live on the big screen.
We know not everyone comes out on a Friday night just for the football, so we’re going to keep things nice and balanced:
The match will be on for anyone who wants to watch, with the speaker nearest the big screen turned down so footy fans can enjoy the game, while the music and jukebox will still be on around the rest of the pub for those just out for a Friday night drink.

🏆 THE WORLD CUP PROPER STARTS TONIGHT 🏆
It all kicks off at 8pm as co-hosts Mexico take on South Africa at the famous Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.
The atmosphere should be absolutely electric — and surely Mexico will be looking to start their tournament with a win on home soil.

We’ve got two warm-up games over in America before the World Cup proper begins, and tonight we’ll be showing England v New Zealand live at 9pm.
Come and see what Thomas Tuchel’s got up his sleeve… although let’s be honest, there’s no time for experimenting now — we want to see some proper football!

From Spital Street in London, you can reach this pub and gastropub by taking the public transport. Take the Jubilee line towards Stratford and get off at North Greenwich station, then transfer to bus 132 towards Bromley North Station and get off at the Bull Lane stop. The pub is a short walk from there.
Alternatively, if driving or parking is preferred, take the A2 towards Dartford and take exit 2 towards Rochester. Continue onto East Hill/A226, then turn left onto Hawley Road/B2174. Turn right onto High Street/B2175, then right again onto Hythe Street. The pub is located on your left-hand side and there is parking available nearby.
