HELP SAVE OUR TERRACE
We’ve been told we have to remove our outdoor terrace, despite building it to make the sloping pavement safe and accessible for everyone.
The space was created with care and significant investment to be safe, attractive and welcoming, not just for our guests, but for everyone passing along the parade of shop fronts.
At a time when independent hospitality businesses across the UK are under intense pressure from rising costs, losing the terrace could seriously jeopardise our future. It is a vital part of our ability to trade sustainably.
We worked closely with the council throughout and followed their guidance. While a neighbouring business has a fixed structure that is not opposed, Maple has been told different rules apply.
If Maple means something to you, please help us protect this community space.

To get to the cocktail bar and modern European restaurant in Southend, Croydon by public transport, take a train or tram to East Croydon station. Then, transfer to bus route 119 heading towards Bromley and alight at the bus stop on Brighton Road/Southend. From there, it's a short walk to the destination.
