William Powell Frith’s The Railway Station (1862) captures the energy of Paddington in its golden age — a bustling world of steam, stories, and travellers on the move. A landmark with stories carved in stone.
The grand pediment crowning Hilton London Paddington is one of the building’s most striking architectural features — a reminder of the hotel’s 19th‑century heritage and its place in London’s railway history.

From its sculptural detailing to its commanding symmetry, the pediment frames our façade with timeless character, welcoming guests with the same elegance it has offered for over 170 years.

Look up next time you arrive — history is right above the door.
