🛑 Due to essential works taking place at the Selby Centre from Tuesday 1 to Friday 4 September inclusive, the main building, Pavilion and Annexe will be unavailable for access.
During this time, services and facilities in the Sports Hall will remain operational, alongside our car park as per usual regulations which will apply during this period.
In addition, the driving test centre will remain operational at this time as usual.
Please note, the Selby Food Hub will be closed during this period as usual, and next date for serving will be Thursday 10 September 2026.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding while these essential works are carried out. We’re looking for a volunteer driver, someone who has a valid driving licence and their own van with a valid MOT.
• Can volunteer for 1.5 to 3 hours, 1 to 2 times a week, to pick up crates of food from our suppliers for our Food Hub, which is open once a week to the public
• We have a volunteer allowance for subsistence and travel/mileage, but this is an unpaid role.

As the Volunteering Officer for the Selby Trust, you will play a pivotal role in leading on engagement with external bodies to help build and maintain relationships as part of the Selby Trust Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. A problem-solving and proactive mindset is essential, as this role requires dealing with corporate groups and building relationships. This position contributes significantly to our CSR programme, leading on recruitment, training, opportunities, and engagement of volunteers.

During the course of 2025, we welcomed over 125 children to our Selby Active Holiday Activities, with free sport and enrichment activities including badminton, basketball, bootcamp, boxing, cricket, gardening, IT skills, music, and volleyball 🎉
