Asian restaurants are known for their bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and diverse culinary traditions. Among the many Asian restaurants in London, Ekachai stands out as a top choice for South East Asian cuisine. Since 1999, Ekachai has been serving up honest, authentic, and affordable dishes that transport diners to the streets of Malaysia, Thailand, and beyond.
Located in Arcade Liverpool Street, Ekachai offers a menu of stir fry classics, noodle soups, hearty curries, and more. The Char Kway Teow stir-fried with prawns is super-satisfying and packed with flavor. The Nasi Goreng with spiced crackers and sambal is another standout dish that's cooked expertly to order.
For those who love chicken rice, Ekachai's Hainan Chicken Rice is a must-try. Made fresh every day in Kings Cross and Wandsworth, this dish features corn-fed chicken gently poached with ginger spring onion sauce and a punchy chilli vinegar dip.
Vegetarians will also find plenty of options at Ekachai. The Crispy Salt & Pepper Tofu is a delicious starter or main course that takes a quick dip in a sweet chilli bath.
Overall, Ekachai is an excellent choice for anyone looking for authentic South East Asian cuisine that won't break the bank. With locations in Kings Cross, Camden, Wandsworth, and SE1 (just a few minutes walk from London Bridge), there's no excuse not to try it out!
