This year we're celebrating Chinese New Year with our ๐๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ฐ-๐๐ฉ๐ช๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ด๐ฆ Chicken Momos special - available all day in the Street Kitchen until the end of February.
Indo-Chinese cuisine is hugely popular across the sub-continent and was originally introduced to India by immigrants in Kolkata, over 100 years ago. Blending traditional Chinese cooking techniques & dishes with Indian spices & ingredients.
Our take on Chicken Momos features lightly spiced golden-fried dumplings served with a light tangy dipping sauce made with soy, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and chilli. You can also try out our much-loved signature Warm Chilli Paneer Salad with stir-fried peppers and fresh green chilli.
All perfect for ushering in the auspicious start of the Year of the Horse, said to represent optimism and opportunity ๐ ๐จ๐ณ

What people say
Indian restaurants are known for their rich and diverse flavors, and ROTI CHAI Street Kitchen & Dining Room in Portman Mews South, London is no exception. This restaurant offers a unique twist on traditional Indian cuisine by incorporating modern techniques and ingredients inspired by home cooking, street hawkers, and roadside cafes.
One of the standout dishes at ROTI CHAI is the Haryali Tikki - a soft herby spiced spinach, pea, and potato 'tikki' drizzled with tangy tamarind 'imli' chutney and sweet chaat yoghurt. The combination of flavors is simply divine. Another must-try dish is the Kerela Prawns - succulent prawns cooked in a South Indian-inspired sauce made with coconut milk, fennel, seaweed 'podi', turmeric, ginger, curry leaves, and tempered mooli.
For those with a sweet tooth, the Malai Cheesecake is an absolute delight. Made with 'malai' clotted cream and served with berry compote, this decadent dessert is the perfect way to end your meal.
The dining room at ROTI CHAI is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 5 pm onwards. You can easily book your table online via their website. The restaurant's focus on layers of flavor and subtle spice rather than overpowering heat makes it stand out from other Indian restaurants in London.
Overall, if you're looking for an authentic yet modern take on Indian cuisine in London's Marylebone area, ROTI CHAI Street Kitchen & Dining Room should be at the top of your list.
