People often ask us do we still need to Save The George Tavern, or is it saved?

The answer is: we HAVE survived many battles that could have closed us, thanks to years of campaigning, community support, legal fights and artists support. But the old nightclub attached to The George, previously known as Stepney’s, is still out of our hands. It was once part of the venue - with a light-up dancefloor and its own colourful history, and Pauline’s dream has always been to bring it back to reunite it with The George and create a whole extra space next door. Until that goal is achieved, Pauline will keep fighting as ever!

To get to Commercial Road in London, you have several options for public transport:

1. By Tube: Take the District or Hammersmith & City Line to Aldgate East station. From there, it's a short walk to Commercial Road.

2. By Bus: Various bus routes serve Commercial Road, including numbers 15, 115, and 135. Check the Transport for London website or app for the most convenient bus route from your location.

3. By DLR (Docklands Light Railway): If you're coming from Canary Wharf or other areas served by the DLR, you can take it to Shadwell station and then walk to Commercial Road.

If you prefer driving or need parking options:

1. From central London: Take the A11 towards Whitechapel Road and continue onto Commercial Road. There are paid parking lots available along Commercial Road and nearby side streets.

2. From east London: Take the A13 towards Limehouse Link Tunnel and exit onto The Highway/A1203. Continue on The Highway until you reach Commercial Road.

Please note that parking in central London can be limited and expensive, so it's recommended to use public transport if possible.
