Roasted Aubergine, Harissa, Whipped Tahini, Honey
A burst of Middle Eastern-inspired freshness with a base of our homemade raw red cabbage sauerkraut, adding crunch and tang. Roasted Spanish organic spring aubergines and Italian fennel for seasonal bridge, hinting at warmer months ahead. Whipped garlic and tahini dressing, nigella seeds, and honey stitch the dish together with fragrant, bitter, and spiky flavours. The house rose harissa, made from the chilli skins and seeds harvested from our Sriracha sauce, gives it punch.

Our new burrata with bergamot lemon dressing and broad beans. Simple, bright, and a nod to the changing season. Ingredients that speak for themselves.

Rico’s olive jam has been with us for years. He learned it from a chef in Barcelona who used black olives and honey in a dessert—but when we tried it with olive oil and bread, it just made sense.

Oniric Brisat. From Penedes, Spain. Made with the same grapes found in Cava (Xarelo and Parellada), this orange wine has flavours of citrus, peach, baked apple pie, and a hint of spice. “Brisat” refers to the traditional Catalonian technique of extended skin maceration. “Oniric” means dreamer — hence the flamingo with its head in the clouds.

Gratin—There are few better kitchen aromas than a washed-rind cheese bubbling away in the oven. Here, creamed leeks and courgettes meet garlic and thyme, all tucked under a golden, molten layer of Taleggio. It could stand alone, but alongide a ribeye? That’s the kind of decision you won’t regret.

Same producer, two characters.
Pinuaga Tinto—bright, juicy and effortlessly drinkable, full of red cherry and plum. Pinuaga Colección—deeper, richer, with bramble, balsamic and spice, smoothed by time in oak. One’s an easygoing companion, the other has a bit more to say. Both are organic, made with care and both poured here at The Duke.

What people say
The Duke of Cambridge is a pub and restaurant located in Islington, London that has been serving delicious organic food since 1998. As Britain's first organic pub/restaurant, they have remained committed to their ethical business ideals by carefully sourcing their ingredients from independent producers while keeping their environmental impact and food miles low.
Their menu features the finest, seasonal, organic food with grass-reared meat and sustainable fish on the daily changing menu. However, the star of every plate is the organic vegetables grown on their Riverford farm in Devon. The marriage between Guy Singh-Watson's Riverford farm and Geetie Singh's certified organic pub has resulted in a farm-owned, 100% organic pub with a veg-packed seasonal menu that changes daily to celebrate the abundance from Riverford’s fields.
At The Duke of Cambridge, they are dedicated to growing and cooking seasonal, organic food. Their chefs work with only the freshest ingredients, most of which are grown on their Riverford farm in Devon. If they didn't grow or make it themselves, they know who did as Riverford only works with small independent producers.
Overall, The Duke of Cambridge offers a unique dining experience for those looking for delicious organic food that is ethically sourced and environmentally conscious. With its commitment to sustainability and dedication to quality ingredients, it's no wonder why this gastropub has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
