Every year it’s a privilege and a joy to have The Kings Arms on the Marathon route, just before the halfway point. We get to experience all the courage, determination and bravery of eveyone that takes part.

This year was extra special for us, with our, Jade & Michael running for . Jades Dad Bobby Roberts had been bravely fighting his own battle with Cancer.

Every year for decades Bobby and Kevin, set up a DJ tower and played to the runners, keeping them entertained for hours with music and words of encouragement.

This year they were joined by . You may recognise some of her work as we have two pieces at the pub. Gina paints in the moment. Her work is mainly based around Music, but as you can see from these pictures, her versatility is amazing. It’s incredible to see her pieces come to life. She captured everything so beautifully and did them proud.

Our other super hero’s this year were & . Olivia was running for . She’s always a joy and such an inspiration.
Eric was one of the first members of the team that we ever employed at the pub, 20 years ago. Very honoured he chose here to meet his family.

Till next year. 2026 will always hold a special place in our hearts. ♥️

Alternatively, take buses 47, 343 or RV1 and get off at Tooley Street stop.
