From soulful melodies to electrifying improvisation, the room was filled with incredible energy all evening. Huge thanks to everyone who joined us and made it such a special night at Karamel!

Rory Ingham and his stellar quintet brought hard-swinging energy, lyrical moments and irresistible groove to the stage, with incredible chemistry between Rory on trombone and Olly Wilby on tenor sax.

Joined by Graham Harvey on piano, Jeremy Brown on bass and Mark Taylor on drums, the band delivered a set full of fire, finesse and unforgettable musical connection.

A huge thank you to the musicians and everyone who came down to enjoy the music with us.

Jess Bull Anderson brings together contemporary classical sounds, free jazz, text and graphic score-based composition, exploring themes of disability, human connection and spirituality. Featuring Carmen Llena, Alex Wardill, Annie Morris and Jonny Venvell.

Thu 15 May – Alma Latina: Cuban & Latin Fusion
Alma Latina return to Karamel with their vibrant blend of salsa, Cuban grooves and contemporary Latin fusion. Led by Cuban singer-songwriter Yuri Moreno and guitarist/producer Paul Rumbol, with special guest Giuliano Pereira on tenor sax and flute.

Award-winning trombonist Rory Ingham leads a stellar quintet alongside tenor saxophonist Oliver Wilby for a night of hard-swinging energy, lyrical beauty and irresistible groove. Expect rich horn interplay, beloved standards, hidden gems and a vibrant homage to the great jazz partnerships.

Fri 9 May – Joe Walker Quartet
One of London’s most exciting new tenor saxophone talents, Joe Walker brings his quartet to Karamel with a set of original music and hand-picked compositions. Expect spiritual energy, complex interplay and forward momentum inspired by the legacy of John Coltrane’s iconic quartet.

A huge thank you to Robin Porter, Jack Gillen and Matt Parkinson for a night of exploratory, forward-looking jazz — full of texture, chemistry and fearless improvisation.

From intricate compositions to moments of pure live energy, Aspyrian showed exactly why they’re one of the most exciting new voices on the UK jazz scene.

Still buzzing from Friday 23 Jan ✨🎷

Soulsa presents: Jazz Juice at Karamel — our inaugural session was everything we hoped for and more.

Led by tenor saxophonist & BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year 2024 finalist, George Johnson, the night flowed from a stunning first set of originals and reworked favourites into a full-on, joy-filled open jam.

Musicians stepped up, the room locked in, and the vibes stayed high — good tunes, great company, gorgeous grub, all in the warmest setting.

Big love to everyone who came through to listen, play, and share the energy. More Jazz Juice soon…
